This year’s Bus Driver of the Year competition was held in Blackpool on the first weekend in September. Previous winner and CBW friend Jonathan Welch took part, and tells us more about the weekend

Regular readers of CBW will remember that I wrote a few years ago about my experiences at the Bus Driver of the Year (BDoY) competition. You might remember too, that by coincidence, I won that year. So it was with a little trepidation that I said yes when CBW’s Editor asked if I might like to write something again this year. After all, I didn’t want to write the same story again! Thankfully, from CBW’s point of view at least, this year’s story will be a very different one. This year, it will not be a nice bedtime story with a happy ending.[…]
