Originally due to be held at Loch Lomond’s Cameron House, this year’s ALBUM Conference has now moved to the Marriott Hotel in Glasgow City Centre. The event has also been brought forward a week, now taking place between Monday, May 14 and Wednesday May 16.
Cameron House experienced a fatal fire earlier this month, taking the lives of two and rendering the building unfit for use.
Hosted by McGill’s – Scotland’s largest independent bus operator – the event sees a range of exhibitors, speakers and bus and coach operators meet to share industry insights and take part in a variety of joint activities.
Ralph Roberts, Managing Director at McGill’s, commented: “We are very excited to host this fantastic event within Glasgow, for companies UK-wide to attend, highlight positives and issues within the industry and enjoy the activities over these three days.
“We are very saddened to hear of the tragedy that took place at Cameron House, and my team worked hard to ensure we had another, equally amazing, venue. This year, we are welcoming all bus and coach operators, ALBUM members or not, to come and see the trade stands and view the buses on display.
“After sourcing the Marriott, Glasgow, I now know that we will have an excellent ALBUM conference, with our theme of ‘Driving Stability out of Uncertainty’, and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone there.”
