Go-Ahead Ireland starts operation of service 175

Go-Ahead Ireland started operating its first route this week on behalf of TfI (Travel for Ireland) the 65 stop 175 service which serves Citywest to UCD commenced on Sunday 9 September with nine vehicles and 19 drivers.

In October 2018 the company will begin a phased takeover of 24 Transport for Ireland routes in the Outer Dublin Metropolitan Area, starting with routes 45A, 59, 63, 75, 111, 184 and 185.

With this being Go-Ahead Ireland’s first service, the National Transport Authority has released information highlighting to passengers that ‘Go-Ahead Ireland vehicles and Dublin Bus vehicles will operate in their own colour scheme, although both will be similar at the front which is yellow in both cases.’
