Compass Travel, which runs a number of local bus and school services in east and west Sussex, Brighton and Surrey, has added another four Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL) Enviro200s to its fleet.

The new buses will operate on routes 37 and 37B

The 9.7m, 34-seater single-deckers have gone straight into service in Brighton and Hove on routes 37 and 37B between Meadowview and Bristol Estate, following confirmation of a three-year contract with the City Council to operate extended services on the routes.

Each Euro VI-compliant bus features CCTV, WiFi, USB charging points and under-seat lighting.

Councillor Gill Mitchell, Chair of the City Council’s Environment, Transport and Sustainability Committee, said: “We are pleased to be supporting buses that connect residents from outlying areas to the rest of the city.

“Making the city accessible to residents is a priority and this contract will provide a better evening service as well as regular daytime services with new, low emission buses.”
