Seen outside the former Grimsby Cleethorpes
Transport (GCT) depot in Grimsby is a Roe-bodied Leyland Fleetline new to GCT in December 1976.

The bus is seen wearing the third livery it carried during its time with its municipal operator; orange and white offered a fresh new look to the business from 1987 with the advent of deregulation.

Stagecoach purchased GCT 25 years ago, on 19 November 1993, and the bus lost its roof the following year so that it could operate services along Cleethorpes seafront.

In 2005 the Fleetline moved inland, being based at Stagecoach Yorkshire’s Chesterfield depot as a promotional vehicle. It was acquired by Graham Lord who took this picture for preservation in August 2017.
