National Express has successfully retained its contract to operate airside and landside shuttle bus services for passengers, staff and crew at London Stansted airport.
Following a tender process managed by the airport’s owners, Manchester Airports Group, the operator has secured a five-year continuation of its contracts – with the option of a further three-year extension.
The agreement provides security to the 100-plus staff currently employed to run the services, and ensures ongoing investment in-line with the airport’s passenger growth projections.
Additionally, the bid included a commitment to a fleet of brand-new Mercedes-Benz Citaros, equipped with the latest tech including real-time passenger information onboard and at each stop.
