Furthering its plans to build a national network, C&C Vehicle Services has opened a new 6,500 sq. ft site in Chesterfield, located within easy reach of M1 junction 29.
Initially creating six jobs, the company already has plans for six more in the coming months at the brand-new, tailor-made Clay Cross location.
Fitted out at a cost of £100,000, the company can handle anything from minor repairs to major accident damage, and has a 16m-long paint booth to accommodate the largest of vehicles, although the firm expects greatest demand to be from the light commercial sector.
Supported by larger facilities in Oldham and Wolverhampton, the firm uses the latest EMACS bodyshop management software to control workflow between sites, and one of the company’s recovery vehicles will be based at the new location to enable a fast response to breakdowns and accidents.
Talking about the company’s growth, Managing Director Mark Newnes said: “Our Wolverhampton site has been open for six months and business has been very strong. We’ve already grown the size of our team at this site from the 25 we started with, to 35 today.
“With Chesterfield now trading and another new workshop to open this year, we’re taking all the right steps to achieving our national network ambition.”
After five years at the Oldham site, Keith Tindall has been promoted to manage the new Chesterfield operation, which is open from 0700 to 1630hrs Monday to Friday.
