Swans Travel buys Travelmaster

Manchester-based coach operator Swans Travel Ltd has completed the purchase of Travelmaster (Mcr) Ltd, headquartered in Carrington.

Travelmaster has a 20-vehicle fleet which carries out corporate travel, private hire and aircrew transfer work to Manchester Airport.

Thanks to the acquisition, the two companies will have a combined fleet of 55 vehicles ranging from 16 to 85 seats in VIP, luxury and executive specification.

Both operating centres will remain as they currently are, along with the combined total of 75 employees which support them.

Commenting on the deal, Swans Travel Managing Director Kieran Swindells said: “Travelmaster is a fantastic addition, with an excellent record of delivering high quality services.

“Its experienced staff, fleet and strategic location will enable us to fulfil our expanding portfolio of corporate, sports and airline services.

Swans Travel was founded in 1978, and today operates commuter contracts for Amazon, MAG and Bruntwood, business transport for Travel Management Companies Clarity and Capita and team transport to a number of Premier League football clubs.

The firm recently provided 10 VIP vehicles to transport the competing teams in the ICC Cricket World Cup.

Projected growth and combined revenues are on course to reach £10m by December 2020, it says.

Swans Travel were advised on the deal by O’Donnell Solicitors, led by Director James O’Donnell, and by Peter O’Mally of Afford Bond.
