The weekend of 11-12 August saw Rotala-owned Diamond North West take over First Manchester’s Bolton depot and operations. In the first of a monthly series looking at operators who are members of ALBUM, Jonathan Welch visited to find out more about the expanded Diamond North West network
Formed in 2005, Rotala PLC has been steadily expanding its portfolio and growing its business over the last 14 years. Its latest acquisition saw it take over the former First Manchester depot at Bolton on Sunday 11 August this year, integrating it into the Diamond North West brand, thereby expanding the firm’s presence on the Manchester bus scene as well as increasing the size of its operations in the North West of England dramatically.
