Leisure services and coach holidays have also been suspended or cancelled. London hop-on hop-off sightseeing operators Big Bus, The Original Tour, Golden Tours and London City Tours and have taken the collective decision to pause their sightseeing services in London as a result of government advice. Mikesh Palan, Managing Director of Golden Tours, says: “Like many, our industry is facing an uncertain period ahead. We remain optimistic that the precautions we are taking to protect our employees, colleagues and guests by closing our operations is the right decision within the current climate. We will continue to work hard in delivering our services to London’s visitors when the city re-opens for business.”

Specialist Leisure Group companies Caledonian Holidays, National Holidays and Shearings Holidays issued the following statement on its social channels: “Further to the government announcement yesterday evening we will be unable to operate any holidays from 18 March up to and including 30 April and so will be postponing or cancelling these departures.”

This move means that the group’s fleet of 240 coaches will be parked up during this period.
