Solaris’ bi-articulated Trollino 24 trolleybus received the Top Design Award at the Arena Design 2020 event in Poznań in February, singled out for its innovative, unique design. Unveiled for the first time at Busworld 2019, the Trollino 24 is the longest vehicle offered by the Polish manufacturer, and is driven by two electric motors of 160 kW each, powered by Solaris’ High Power batteries which are recharged en route from the overhead line, allowing the bus, which has a capacity of over 200, to run on routes away from the overhead power supply.
