Search engine provider Google showed its love for transport workers on the 14 April as part of a new Doodle series to recognise and honor many of those of the front line.

The message from Google read ‘To all public transportation workers, thank you.’

The industry was quick to react to the Doodle:

Managing Director of NAT Group, Adam Keen said on LinkedIn: “Kudos to Google today for recognising the huge efforts of the transport industry during the Covid-19 pandemic.”

Commercial Strategy Analyst at Arriva Bus UK, April Moores said on LinkedIn: “Love the Google Doodle this morning, thanking all public transportation workers. To the Arriva family and beyond, thank you to those putting themselves at risk to keep key workers moving!.”

Managing Director of Go North East and East Yorkshire, Martijn Gilbert tweeted: “Great seeing Google recognise the hard work of bus employees as key workers during this crisis by having today’s home screen as a bus message! Thank you Google and thank you Transport and all other key workers.”
