East Yorkshire’s Scarborough Beachcomber buses, along with Transdev-owned City Sightseeing York, have each been recognised as 2020 Traveller’s Choice award-winners by travel site Tripadvisor.
Based on a full year of Tripadvisor reviews, prior to any changes caused by the coronavirus pandemic, award winners are recognised for consistently receiving great feedback from customers, placing them in the top 10% of attractions worldwide.
The Go-Ahead-owned Scarborough Beachcomber open-top bus service runs along the seafront between the town’s North and South Bays.
Ben Gilligan, Area Director for East Yorkshire, said: “We’re delighted to have received this recognition that our Beachcomber buses are up there with some of the world’s best attractions.
“The most important thing for us is that visitors to Scarborough are having a fantastic time, and we hope they’ll return again to spend more time in this beautiful seaside resort.”
