Bennetts Coaches, based in Gloucester, has ordered two new Marcedes-Benz Tourismos for 2021. The firm has been in business for over 50 years since it was established in 1962 by Arthur Bennett, grandfather of current Managing Director, Gavin Bennett.
With its growing fleet of high specification vehicles, the operator offers private hire, day excursions and school bus services. Talking about its latest order, Gavin Bennett explained: “We have a duty to help protect the environment for future generations. This is why the company has invested over £4.8 million over the past four years in upgrading and replacing its fleet with vehicles that are Euro VI with ultra-low emissions.”
The two new Tourismo M3s, due for delivery in March 2021, will bring the total number of PSVAR-compliant vehicles in the company’s fleet to 18. They are destined for use on the school routes and will also be available for private hire. Gavin went on to say that Bennett’s Coaches plans on investing a further £2.5 million over the next 2 years to ensure continuous improvement in its fleet.
The new Tourismos will be supplied by Mercedes-Benz Coach Sales at EvoBus (UK).
