Nick Larkin speaks to MP Travel about the heritage buses it will be using alongside its normal fleet on 2 January

Classic buses will be operating in service on a major Merseyside bus route on 2 January.

They will run alongside modern vehicles on the X1 Liverpool One to Halton service via Aigburth, Speke and Runcorn which Warrington-based MP Travel is currently running on behalf of Arriva.

MP Travel Managing Director Gareth McAllister-Partridge said: “As we are currently running the X1 we thought this would be an ideal opportunity for people to enjoy travelling on these buses in service, and raise money for a very good cause.”
