Bus museums and other limited companies running historic vehicles are having problems renewing trade plate licences following new legislation, and the DVLA seems reluctant to help.

Transport Museum Wythall has held a licence for over 30 years to assist in the maintenance of the fleet, but has been told by DVLA that its renewal application has been declined. This is because under recent legislation, businesses are now not allowed to use the plates on vehicles registered to them.
