The Keighley Bus Company has a bright new look inside and out for its Dalesway service, featuring ‘cheeky character’ Dale the sheep. “When it comes to building buses back better, you can’t beat a bit of woolly!” said the operator as it unveiled the new look for the route between Keighley and Skipton, as it looks to get passengers ‘flocking’ back on board.
The service relaunch will see newer double-deck buses taking to the road, fitted with WiFi and USB power points at every seat along with ‘shear luxury’ leather seating from which to view the Yorkshire scenery from the top deck.
On board, younger travellers can look out for Dale the sheep getting up to all kinds of mischief on the inside of every bus.
The Keighley Bus Company General Manager Alan Isherwood said: “Dalesway is one of our most popular services, and the extra space and comfort on these newer buses will be much appreciated by our customers.
“It’s an ideal time for us to bring in these bigger and better buses, as more people will be looking to get out and about when pandemic travel restrictions are eased. For now, our timetables will remain the same as we continue to focus on providing travel for key workers and others making essential journeys.
“The Dalesway service is also very popular with NHS workers travelling to Airedale Hospital, and students at Craven College and Skipton College are now back on board with us as well. And while our buses are bigger and better, our prices are staying the same – so no-one will end up being fleeced!”
