Abellio London says it is proud to announce that the business has achieved ‘gold standard’ ISO 45001 health and safety accreditation across its six London depots. This internationally recognised standard, awarded by the British Standards Institution, is a global benchmark for occupational health and safety. Abellio said its teams have worked closely together to attain the accredited status, the process taking less than a year to complete.

Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance Manager Bobbie Enright managed the project, starting with a detailed discovery phase to understand processes across all of the company’s depots. As a result of this detailed analysis, key tasks at depots were identified then actioned to bring the occupational health framework and delivery into a single standard approach across the business.

Head of Facilities Ken Fennell said: “Attaining ISO 45001 accreditation across our London depots is a major achievement. This was only possible due to the professional dedication that our teams have toward occupational health and sustainability.”

Abellio’s Managing Director Jon Eardley added: “We value our people; ensuring that occupational health standards meet the international ‘gold standard’ for our teams with the ISO 45001 accreditation is something we are very proud of as a business.”
