Alexander Dennis Ltd (ADL) Chief Executive Colin Robertson has been awarded a CBE (Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) in the Queen’s Birthday honours 2019 for his services to exports and to the coach and bus manufacturing sector.

He continues to champion skills and opportunities through the company’s expanded apprenticeship scheme as well as a growing graduate development programme and its Leadership Academy, which identifies and nurtures talent within the business.

He was also appointed Chairman of Entrepreneurial Scotland earlier this year.

Colin Robertson said: “I am deeply humbled by this honour.

I could not have achieved any of this without the fantastic team I have the privilege of leading at Alexander Dennis.

“This reinforces my commitment to inspire others to be even more entrepreneurial and to support and nurture the fantastic talent we have here in Scotland and in the UK.”
