Following the passing of the highly-respected Adrian Wickens last month, arrangements for his funeral have been confirmed.

The service will take place at 1300hrs on Thursday, June 7 at St Mary’s Church, Old Square, Warwick, CV34 4RA.

Following this will be a wake at the Lord Leycester Hospital, 60 High Street, Warwick, CV34 4BH.

Finally, there will be a private, family only burial service held.

The family – Adrian’s wife Catherine, son Alistair and daughter Alexandra, future daughter-in-law Emily and future son-in-law Laurie – have asked for donations, if wished, c/o funeral directors AE Bennett & Sons, 34 Sheep Street, Stratford-upon-Avon (cheques payable to AE Bennett & Sons Donations Account).

A collection will also be taken at the funeral service. Donations will be split between Rye Harbour Nature Reserve and Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance Trust.

Those from Volvo planning to attend the service are asked to first inform Catherine Eborall ([email protected]) so that they can co-ordinate with Adrian’s family.

Parking around St Mary’s is extremely limited, so Volvo staff are asked to travel together where possible. A memory book will be available to sign from Monday, June 4 onwards in Volvo Bus, where visitors can share their fondest memories of Adrian with his family.

Those who are unable to be in Warwick next week and would like to add their message to the book can email their memories to Catherine; they can be printed and added to the book on your behalf.

Any photographs of Adrian that his family may not have seen are also welcomed.
