L-R: Rhian Murphy (Adventure Travel MD’s PA), Samantha Thomas (Adventure Travel Marketing and Communications Assistant), Kelly Dibble (Corporate Senior Fundraiser Tŷ Hafan) and Gary Bagstaff (PrintSauce)

As part of a year of fundraising, South Wales operator Adventure Travel has launched a special branded bus for Tŷ Hafan, its inaugural charity of the year, which it is asking locals to name.

The dedicated Tŷ Hafan-branded bus will be seen across South Wales, travelling the routes from the company’s three depots in Cardiff, Taff’s Well and Swansea, to increase awareness for the charity. The bus will help raise money for Tŷ Hafan, thanks to PrintSauce, the vinyl and design company used by Adventure Travel, who after finding out about the bus, offered to undertake the artwork for the bus completely free of charge. Adam Keen, Managing Director of Adventure Travel, said: “This collaboration between Adventure Travel and our vinyl supplier, PrintSauce, will ensure that the charity bus generates as much awareness and income for Tŷ Hafan as possible.”

As the new bus hits the road, Adventure Travel is offering people the chance to name the bus in return for a small donation. People are being asked to donate £2 for every name submitted and if selected, the name will be added to the bus as a vinyl. Names can be anything, the more creative the better says the operator – the only restriction is that they must be family friendly. Adam added: “We are delighted to offer people the chance to name this bus in return for a small donation. The feedback about the bus so far has been incredible and we’re looking forward to seeing it travelling around Wales, raising awareness of the great work done by the Hospice.”

The winner of the name the bus competition will be announced on 21 June. Anyone who wants to enter can head to Adventure Travel’s JustGiving page, to make their donation and write the name’s they wish to call the bus.
