Stagecoach Norfolk officially closed its King’s Lynn depot on Saturday, April 28 and handed over a number of services to Lynx and West Norfolk Community Transport (WNCT).

CBW understands that most of the serviceable Stagecoach vehicles are transferring to Bedford. The company is still retaining five services, including the 505 King’s Lynn to Spalding route.

Lynx has taken on 19 new drivers to cover its eight new services, and now operates the largest Optare Tempo fleet in the world, consisting of 27 vehicles.

WNCT has received its Mellor Stratas and Wrightbus StreetLites for its five new services, though it is currently operating some hired Optare Solo SRs at least one of which was new to Comfybus of Southport.

CBW contributor David Bell was on scene on Sunday, April 29 to witness the Stagecoach fleet departing and to photograph the reallocated services in action.
