Stewards from Stichting Welkom Amsterdam, the city’s welcome foundation, have taken up their positions at various coach stops on Prins Hendrikkade to help coach traffic flow smoothly through the area.

Coaches will not be able to use the stop at the Maritime Museum on April 11, 12, 14, 15, 18, 19, 21 and 22, as well as May 30/31 and June 1.

Parking at Amsterdam Amstel railway station will only be allowed at coach stops. Coaches are not permitted to use the Amsterdam public transport (GVB) or Connexxion bus stops at Amsterdam Amstel railway station. Coaches are only permitted to use the two coach stops at Julianaplein.

An additional stop is available at Sloterdijk railway station. Now, three coaches can park here for a maximum of 10 minutes at a time.

Drivers are also being warned of ongoing roadworks. Until the end of June 2016, work will be carried out at Houtmankade between Westerpark and Tasmanstraat. The road will be redesigned and separate bicycle lanes will be added.

Due to this work, through traffic in both directions will be re-routed via Spaarndammerstraat. Coach drivers are advised to pay heed to the traffic situation on Houtmankade and to follow the diversion signs.

The city’s online Tourbuzz application is now live, which will give operators relevant information on a daily basis. Operators who would like to test the application can access it from www.tourbuzz.nl, and provide feedback to [email protected].
