Andy Izatt provides a synopsis of the Go North East and East Yorkshire fleets
Between them Go North East (GNE) and East Yorkshire (EY) operate close to 1,000 vehicles and despite each having quite a different history, there have been similarities in their approach to fleet purchasing, notably their choice of Volvo for most of their double-decker intake. Wrightbus has supplied the majority of bodies and has also been a significant supplier of complete vehicles to GNE which standardised on StreetLite DFs over several years. It has also been an important customer for Optare.
