In mid 2020 Arriva Bus and Coach announced it would undertake a strategic viability review, taking into consideration current market conditions. This strategic viability review was completed and it determined that Arriva Bus and Coach is not a viable business and as it stands the plan is that it will cease operating from 31 March 2021.
Andrew Cullen, Managing Director of Arriva Bus and Coach, said: “I would like to thank all of our customers for the loyalty and support they have given us over many years. This is a very challenging time for the bus and coach industry and I would like to offer everyone our very best wishes for the future.
“I would also like to recognise all those people who have worked for this business over a number of decades. Many successful careers and friendships have started here and, while this will be a sad time for colleagues both past and present, we will look back on our time together with pride.”
The dealership still has a stock of new coaches for sale including Temsa HD12s and MD9s, both with 39 seats with no toilet and 34 seats with toilet, all registered on 20-plates. Also available in various specs are Van Hool EX15Ms with 53 seats and EX16Ms with 57 seats, which are unregistered.
Operators can still contact Arriva Bus & Coach on 01274 681 144 for further details about these vehicles.
