The latest round of Transport for London (TfL) bus tender results has been announced, with Arriva London North seeing the most success with three contract wins.

Arriva London North gained two services from Stagecoach Selkent – the 99, with a Peak Vehicle Requirement (PVR) of 14, and the 269 (PVR 12). Both services will use Euro 5 double-deckers registered between 2011 and 2013 and commence on January 20, 2018.

London Central gave up three services – the 401 (PVR eight) which goes to Arriva London North and will use Euro 5 2011-13 double-deckers, the 422 (PVR 16) which will be taken over by Stagecoach Selkent and use 2011 Euro 5 double-deckers along with four new Euro 6 hybrids, and the B14 (PVR five) which also transitions to Stagecoach Selkent and will use new Euro 6 single-deckers. London Central also retained the B16 (PVR nine) which will use 2010 Euro 5 single-deckers. The 401, 422 and B16 contracts renew on January 20, 2018, while the B14 renews on February 3, 2018.

London United successfully retained five services. The 423 (PVR seven, 2011 Euro 5 single-deckers), H22 (PVR 11, 2017 Euro 6 single-deckers) and H37 – a 24 hour service at weekends with a PVR of 15 to use single-deckers of a specification yet to be confirmed, will all renew on March 3, 2018. Four of the vehicles on H22 will be 2011 Euro 5 buses.

The 635 (PVR three, unconfirmed double-deckers) will renew on January 13, 2018, while the H98 (PVR 14, mostly 2011 Euro 5 single-deckers along with four 2014 electrics vehicles) will renew on March 17.

Finally, Abellio West London retained its H28 contract, which renews on February 24, 2018. With a PVR of nine, it will utilise 2012 Euro 5 single-deckers, along with a single new Euro 6 diesel.
