Richard Hall, MD of Arriva Malta, the third to hold the post in two years, is stepping down and is leaving the company. Mark Bowd is to assume the role. He has been in Malta for several months.

No explanation for the reasons for the move has been forthcoming. Mr Hall recently stated in an interview he was looking forward to developing the winter timetable which would build on the success of Arriva’s recent summer timetable.

When Arriva won the the contract to provide transport for Malta the operation was led by Keith Bastow. Constantly under fire from the Maltese press which stirred public criticism, he resigned from the position for health reasons. He was replaced by Dave Kaye in January 2012 until Richard Hall took the reins a year ago.
