Bus Éireann is providing ISOFIX Attachment Points at selected seats on 53 of the company’s new Expressway and commuter coaches.

This will allow child safety seats which are ISOFIX compatible to be installed on vehicles by parents/ guardians, making it easier for families to travel with small children. Non-ISOFIX child seats can also be used on any coach seat as long as they are secured with the seatbelt according to the child seat manufacturer’s instructions.

A total of 88 new vehicles went into service with the Irish state-owned operator in 2012. All are WiFi-enabled, wheelchair accessible and meet the highest EU emission standards. Selected window seats on 53 of these new vehicles have ISOFIX fitted, available for families travelling from Dublin-Galway, Dublin-Limerick, Dublin-Wexford, Dublin-Cork, Dublin-Belfast and selected commuter services around the Greater Dublin Area.
