Legendary Cambridgeshire operator Whippet is 102 years old this year. A number of vehicles representing its century of service attended, including, from left to right, 1990 Northern Counties-bodied Volvo B10M-50 H303 CAV, which spent 27 years with the operator and is now owned by EBE members; YX10 BFK, an Alexander Dennis Enviro200 still in service with Whippet and brought along to the event by the operator, and; AF52 WMD, a 2002 Scania L94UB With Wrightbus 49-seat bodywork. New to Whippet in 2002, it is now preserved in superb condition by former Whippet driver Chris Shaw, whose grandad John Mountain drove the bus regularly. Chris now droves for Dews Coaches of Somersham. NICK LARKIN
