CaetanoBus will deliver the first examples of its hydrogen-powered H2.City Gold to the archipelago of Canarias in 2023. The first unit will be delivered to ITC – Instituto Tecnológico de Canarias – and the other fuel cell bus will join the fleet of the operator Guaguas Municipales in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The 12 metre buses use a Toyota fuel cell with a nominal power of 60kW, an LTO battery with a capacity of 44kWh, and a powertrain with a peak power of 180kW. The buses will have a capacity for up to 82 passengers, and will be the first of their type in Gran Canaria.
