Lothian Buses celebrated its centenary in style over the weekend of 28 and 29 September 2019 in three linked events in Edinburgh. On the Saturday, the annual Doors Open Day took place at Central Garage with an impressive collection of vintage and new buses together with a Classic Bus Running Day using a mix of interesting vehicles on part of route 26 between Haymarket and Eastfield. Sunday topped off the celebrations with a Centenary Cavalcade of heritage and modern day buses through the city centre followed by a static exhibition showcasing the vehicles that took part.
