Classic buses head east

Classic buses will be running intensive services on two bus routes in the Romford and Dagenham area on Saturday 25 March. They will operate every 10 minutes alongside the normal TfL services on route 175 from Dagenham New Road to North Romford Chase Cross, plus limited journeys on route 174 between Dagenham Kent Avenue and Harold Hill with certain journeys extended to Noak Hill, Pentowan.

The event is being run by the London Bus Museum, which has held similar running days in other parts of London. “We want to give people the chance the see historic buses in action,” said museum spokesman Deryck Fill.

AEC Routemasters and RTs from the museum’s own collection and private owners will be used.
