A newly extended Leeds bus route will be launched on Monday 24 July with a rather special vehicle in service for the day. Viscount Travel’s 1956 Leyland Titan PD2 open-topper will be running on Yorkshire Buses’ service 29, which has been extended at both ends, now providing links to the White Rose Centre and Horsforth.

All fares taken on the Leyland will be donated to the Cash for Kids charity. The bus will leave the White Rose Centre from 0900, 1100, 1400 and 1600hrs, returning from Horsforth Green at 1000, 1200, 1500 and 1700hrs. “We’re delighted to provide our open top Leyland for the launch of this extended and improved 29 service,” said Viscount Travel Managing Director Nathan Merryweather.
