Heart of Wales Bus and Coach Company, whose sole director is Clayton Jones, is set to go into liquidation.

There are 36 creditors in total, including two branches of HM Revenue and Customs and four employees’ owed wages. Money is also owed to a former employee in respect of an Employment Tribunal claim.

The firm failed to file its last set of accounts with Companies House when they were due last November.

Jones formerly ran Shamrock Travel which he sold in 2006. A source close to Mr Jones told Wales Online: “Clayton has had enough of the industry. He’s faced a lot of hostility over the years. It’s become very difficult for a small operator to survive against competition from the big companies.”
