Alongside coach operator Marett’s Chariots, Anthony Marett is also the man behind Don’t Travel Empty, a technology suite which has now progressed far beyond a tool to help coach operators find passengers for empty legs. James Day finds out the full story

Anthony Marett is at the helm of Norwich-based coach operator Marett’s Chariots, along with tech company Don’t Travel Empty. The two businesses have grown together, with much of the functionality provided by Don’t Travel Empty and its more recent Coach Management System and Vehicle Maintenance System modules inspired by Anthony’s experiences and ideas from running coaches himself.

It is perhaps unusual how Anthony found himself involved in the industry, as he explained: “My family runs field study centres and organised the transport for the children, and I was an instructor. We bought a couple of 16-seater minibuses and ran them on a restricted O-licence. […]
