Convey Technology has launched its Connected Module which integrates data from software partner Connected2 into its established single sign-in software platform for managing commercial vehicle drivers’ hours and working time compliance. With a focus on driver safety, business efficiency and tools to safeguard business’ operator licences, Convey says it continuously works with the industry to enhance the integrated data available on its platform.
Launched in 2019, the Connected Team software from Connected2 was developed to improve driver engagement, retention, and compliance, with an emphasis on proactive compliance planning, rather than reactive fleet management, and on giving operators and drivers easy access to data. The firm says its latest development, which can use real time tachograph compliance data from Convey, gives businesses a simple way to plan shifts and rotas. Drivers have access to the information via their mobile device, improving communication and streamlining the process, and the software also handles time sheets.
Commercial Director at Convey Karen Crispe explained: “Connected Team is a natural addition to our driver and vehicle compliance platform, giving operators an even wider scope to manage and improve efficiencies across their business, as well as improve engagement with drivers. This is an example of another area of fleet management we can help operators digitalise; as well as saving them time and money.”
Steven Zwinkels, Managing Director of Connected2, added: “Speaking to one operator already using the solution, they are now completing eight hours of admin in under two hours. The time saving alone is a huge benefit for businesses. Like Convey, we understand the industry and have many years of experience working in it. We know what operators need.”
