At 750 buses plus 12 training and ancillary vehicles, Great Manchester Buses South Ltd trading as Stagecoach Manchester has the biggest fleet within Stagecoach.
The days when high capacity tri-axle Leyland Olympians from Hong Kong and Kenyan Dennis Dragons were operated on Magic Bus routes are long past. Today’s largely double-decker line-up is standardised on Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro400s. That said, there are some notable variants, not least the 20 Enviro400s based at Stockport that were delivered in 2009 with MAN rather than Cummins engines.
