Edwards Coaches of Llantrisant has added six ADL Enviro200 MMC single-deckers to its fleet, intended for use on its local bus services.
Compared to the previous, pre-MMC Enviro200s Edwards operated, the new vehicles are lighter, feature stop-start technology (making them up to 35% more economical), an additional five seats and a redesigned interior layout.
The operator recently introduced contactless payments on its local services too (routes 90, 100 and 400), which included Apple Pay and Google Pay capability.
Jason Edwards FCILT, Managing Director, said: “Providing the best services for our customers is what drives our business and with the procurement of these Enviro200 buses we are confident that we will continue to achieve this goal.
“Many people in our local community rely on us for everyday but important errands such as visiting the doctor or the weekly food shop, and so it’s vital that we are them for them in the best way possible.”
