Epsom Coaches Group has joined ROSCO which the firm said fully endorses its remit to improve.
Phil Allport, the company’s Training Instructor explained: “ROSCO does great work in endorsing and recognising success in safety on the roads, particularly in the road passenger transport sector. We are proud to be associated with ROSCO and look forward to working together to promote our joint aims.”
ROSCO Chairman Peter Shipp told CBW: “I am very pleased to welcome another new member in Epsom Coaches, whose 300 drivers will now join the more than 40,000 drivers employed by ROSCO member operators. “The bus and coach industry has an enviable safety record. Anything ROSCO and operators themselves can do highlight this record and support the men and women who drive large vehicle safely in increasingly difficult traffic conditions has to be worthwhile.
“Operators are recognising more than ever that safe driving is also fuel efficient driving – and saving money on fuel is vital in these days of high fuel costs and, for bus operators, higher fuel tax given the reduced BSOG.”
