Epsom Coaches has seen a large increase in single passengers aged 65+ in the past five years.

This has led to the theory that later-life single people are turning to coach travel as a way of taking a trip without the worry of travelling without a partner.

“Travelling can seem a daunting prospect when you’re alone, particularly for those who are used to travelling with a partner,” comments Steve Whiteway, Managing Director of Epsom Coaches. “However, with 82% of those in this age group citing travel as the most common aspiration, we can see that there is still a thirst for adventure amongst a large group of people, regardless of age. Coach travel is an ideal way of dipping your toe in the water especially for those who find themselves having to go solo.”
