An incredibly popular destination, Edinburgh attracts thousands of coaches each year, drawn not just by the numerous tourist attractions but by high profile internationally-known events such as the Edinburgh Festival and the Edinburgh Tattoo.
The most recent figures supplied by City of Edinburgh Festival indicate that over 2.4m people visit the Edinburgh Festival. The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo attracts around 250,000 while 75,000 join the Hogmanay Street Party. Thousands more come to the individual attractions; nearly 2m visit Edinburgh Castle.
