GreenRoad has announced that it is renewing its long-standing relationship with First Bus for an additional three-year term.
GreenRoad devices installed in every First bus and coach continuously monitor vehicle operations as drivers ply their routes. An LED indicator provides instant feedback to drivers when they carry out manoeuvers such as braking, accelerating and turning. Drivers are individually scored on the number of events over driving time, with lower scores indicating more safe and fuel-efficient driving behaviour.
Mark Munday, Technical Director at First Bus, said: “We’re pleased to be continuing a successful partnership with GreenRoad.
“The DriveGreen technology has made a positive impact on our business, helping us to improve our safety performance, reduce emissions, improve fuel efficiency and provide a smoother journey for our customers.
“We look forward to working with colleagues at GreenRoad over the next three years to build on the good work already achieved.”
Zeev Braude, CEO of GreenRoad, added: “We are proud that First Bus, the leading bus operator in the UK, has chosen to continue using GreenRoad to improve its fleet performance. First Bus serves as a sterling example of how, by leveraging GreenRoad, bus and coach operators can work closely with their drivers to create a safer, greener, more cost-effective fleet together.”
