A Masters student studying at the University of Stirling has received an early Christmas present from First Midland Bluebird, winning a £3,000 dream holiday to any destination worldwide in a free prize draw.
The competition was held across Scotland to celebrate the First Midland Bluebird fare deal for students in the 2015/16 academic year.
Thousands of students entered from Aberdeen to Glasgow and across the Central belt with 25-year-old Louise Watson’s name picked out at random.
Jason Hackett, First Midland Bluebird Business Manager in Stirling, said: “We’re delighted for Louise and pleased she could join us to celebrate a great deal for students with low fares and great network connections.
“I’m sure students will continue to enjoy our great services in 2016 and take advantage of our fast and frequent travel options.”
Stirling Masters Student Louise, originally from Scarborough, added: “I find First buses very handy to get around and was shocked when they contacted me.
“I put in an entry at the Freshers Fayre and didn’t think about it. I’d forgotten I’d even entered but was absolutely ecstatic when I’d found out I had won the prize.
“It really is a dream come true and I’m definitely planning on a holiday of a difference. I’ve always wanted to go on safari or whale watching and thanks to First I now can.”
