Specialist insurance broker Gauntlet has backed its commitment to its new partner Coach Hire Comparison by offering members a 10% discount on RAC breakdown cover. Operators can choose a recovery radius from three different options – 40, 100 or 200 miles – so a purely local-area coach operator does not pay unnecessarily for cover more relevant for a tour or day-trip operator.
“In the true spirit of Coach Hire Comparison’s service, this policy minimises the time in which vehicles are off the road,” said Gauntlet’s bus and coach insurance specialist, Paul Howley. “Downtime and customer disruption is bad for business, but with this discounted RAC cover, an operator need not incur it, ensuring their vehicles remain available for all those extra jobs and income that Coach Hire Comparison can provide.”
