Go-coach Hire has worked with Sevenoaks District Council to take double winter Olympic champion Lizzy Yarnold on a victory parade around local schools and the district.
Lizzy travelled in an open-top Routemaster, and this was supported by Go-coach’s new gold Optare Metrocity.
Lizzy Yarnold, who lived and went to school in Sevenoaks, won consecutive Olympic gold medals in 2014 and 2018, making her the most successful British Winter Olympian.
She is also the most successful Olympic Skeleton athlete of all time from any nation.
Austin Blackburn, Managing Director of Go-coach, said: “We operated her tour of Sevenoaks back in 2014 and were more than happy to do the same this time, using the new gold Optare Metrocity to carry council workers and press.
“It was the perfect opportunity to use the gold bus, and the Metrocity says all the right things.”
