West Midlands-based coach tour operator Group Travel Ltd ceased trading on Monday (January 22).
With its head office located in Audnam, Stourbride and another office in Shrewsbury, the firm ran a pair of Volvo 9700 using a two vehicle O-licence.
According to local press reports, customers received a letter outlining the news and that the firm was taking legal advice from a licensed insolvency practitioner on the company’s financial position. Adding that further details would be provided at a later date, the letter stated: “You will be contacted in due course regarding the procedure for holiday refunds. We apologise for having to cancel your holiday/tour at such late notice and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
