Coach operators who have yet to complete the BACKstop survey now have until Monday 30 November 2020 at 1700hrs to have their say. BACKstop’s organisers say they have received an overwhelming response so far, with hundreds of coach businesses already having supplied the requested data. The deadline has now been extended to ensure that as many coach operators as possible are given the opportunity to contribute to this united effort to demonstrate the essential services coaches provide to millions of people.
Why is the data essential?
The BACKstop survey is seeking to obtain passenger data and evidence to demonstrate the detrimental effect that the demise of the UK coach sector will have on the wider public and society at large, and to highlight the essential role of the coach in modern day society. It is intended that the data received will be used to complement and reinforce requests already submitted to the Government regarding sector-specific support.
The survey is intended to reach as many coach operators as possible and the organisers are asking for the link to be shared across social media platforms to obtain the widest possible audience and largest possible data set. For those operators still yet to complete the questionnaire, it can be found at
