Hungarian manufacturer Ikarus says it is ‘thrilled’ to have entered into a partnership with Yutong Bus & Coach to bid for the procurement of rigid and articulated trolleybuses recently announced by Budapest operator BKK (Budapesti Közlekedési Központ). Scheduled for delivery from 2025 to 2027, the procurement order calls for 160 trolleybuses equipped with battery-powered off-wire propulsion capability.
