On the Iveco stand, which will be a low emission area at IAA Commercial Vehicles, will be a 12m Heuliez GX Series electric designed for use on BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) systems.
Also available is an 18m version utilising a high power battery and fast charging. A simulation of the ‘electromobility’ system can be provided by Heuliez which helps identify the solution that precisely matches an operator’s requirements.
Available are battery rental solutions, a choice of modular and scalable battery types, chargers sourced from leading European providers as well as remote data management and proactive maintenance services.
Iveco Bus has reduced onboard battery capacity to a minimum by utilising its In-Motion-Charging technology as featured on the Crealis on display. Also on show will be a Daily Electric minibus, part of the Daily Blue Power range.
For suburban transport, Iveco Bus has also pursued the natural gas solution, and will display the Crossway Low Entry Natural Power, ‘Sustainable Bus of the Year 2018.’ Natural gas tanks integrated into the roof space coupled to a Cursor 9 ‘Natural Power’ engine give the vehicle a range of 600km.
