The owner of the Just Go!, National Holidays and Omega travel brands reports record numbers of passengers heading off on festive coach breaks

The JG Travel Group reports a bumper festive period this year, with more guests than ever before heading off on Christmas-themed coach breaks. In the two months from 1 November to the end of December, the firm said it operated almost 1,000 coach trips across the UK and Europe, from ‘turkey and tinsel’ breaks to London events and Christmas markets trips. Top sellers from Just Go’s portfolio included staples such as Thursford Christmas Spectacular, whilst National Holidays’ Edinburgh Christmas market trips proved popular. Omega’s top sellers in London included carols at the Royal Albert Hall and the musical ‘Mamma Mia! The Party.’

Celebrating the Christmas and New Year period in Europe has also proved hugely popular this year, the company said, with more coaches than ever heading to Austria, the Czech Republic, Italy, Germany and Spain on 22 December, in time for a Christmas abroad.
Director of Product and Operations Paul Mason commented: “Festive trips both in the UK have sold so well. It’s wonderful to see so many guests heading off to enjoy Christmas breaks both in the UK and Europe. It really does feel like this year, more than ever, everyone is embracing the festive period and taking time out to ensure they make the most of it with their loved ones.

“This is an incredibly busy time for both our internal teams at our headquarters in Cheltenham and all our external coach providers and suppliers, and we are hugely grateful for all their hard work meeting this unprecedented demand.”
